Travel Notices

When traveling away from your home area, it is always a good idea to call Pantex FCU and "let us know" about your travel plans. Letting us know, "before you go", allows Pantex FCU to change the settings in our system to allow charges in areas and store types you don't normally frequent. This bypasses the Pantex FCU fraud alert system, allowing debit card charges in specific states or countries during the time period you will be visiting. This is a quick and easy process, that when done before you travel, will save you from the inconvenience of having your debit card decline.  Please note, this is a good idea when traveling anywhere outside your normal area, domestically or internationally.

It's easy:

  • Establish the states or countries you will be visiting.  When stating places you will visit, we need specifics like "United Kingdom," "France" and/or "Greece."  Broad geographical terminology like "Europe" or "the Mediterranean" are not specific enough.
  • Establish the approximate dates you will be visiting each of the locations.
  • Call your favorite Pantex FCU branch!  (806-273-5692 is the phone number for the main branch.)
  • State that you need to place a "travel notice."  Any member of the Pantex FCU customer service team can help!

Remember, where ever you travel be safe, smart and have fun!  Having a Pantex FCU travel notice in place will give you peace of mind that your Pantex FCU debit card will work smoothly, reducing the chance of your card declining.
