Our History

Pantex Federal Credit Union was originally founded by seven individuals in January of 1940 to serve employees of Phillips Petroleum Company in Hutchinson County, Texas. Since that time, we have grown to become one of the largest credit unions in the Texas Panhandle and serve over 16,000 members.

Our main office is located at 1300 W. Wilson St. in Borger, Texas. We currently have three additional branches: 1501 Roosevelt St. in Borger, Texas (inside Walmart); 411 E. Broadway in Fritch, Texas; and 807 N. Sumner St in Pampa, Texas.

We are member-owned and member-driven, directed by a member-elected board of directors, and are a not for profit organization with no interest in making substantial amounts of money like a traditional bank. We are here to help you and your family manage and get the help you need with your finances. If you are not already a member and are eligible, we encourage you to join today!
